If you are a textile designer or student, you most likely spend a lot of time and money ordering digitally printed samples of your designs. We hope that the Lucky Dip will make this easier! Simply select the size you would like and upload your print design*. We will add your order to our current print run, so your design will be printed on the fabric we currently have loaded on our digital fabric printer.
Please note: If you order a Lucky Dip, you will NOT be able to choose your fabric. This is best for people who want their images printed on fabric and don’t mind about the weight, handle, etc. It’s great for students and designers who want to easily see how a design looks on fabric, or who want to include some different fabrics in their portfolio. Your fabric should also arrive quicker, as we will add it to the next print run we do.
If you want to make a specific product out of your fabric, Lucky Dip might not be for you, as the fabric you receive may not be suitable for what you want. Read more about the different fabrics we offer for digital fabric printing.
File Upload Information
Please upload the design you would like to be printed by clicking ‘Choose a file’. Files must be flattened tiff, jpeg, gif or png format, 300 dpi, in RGB colour profile and smaller than 64 MB*. There’s more information about getting your design ready to digitally print here.
*If your file is bigger than 64 MB or you are having difficulty uploading, please just enter the number of Lucky Dips you would like to order and add to your basket. You don’t need to upload a file to place an order. You can then email your designs to email@example.com, use WeTransfer, or send us a link to your Dropbox or other file transfer site.
We ask our customers to make sure they are happy with the artwork they are sending, as we will not alter it in any way before printing. It is your responsibility to check the file, and any repeat, is correct. If you are concerned about colour accuracy, you can read our Colour Guide, or order a Fabric Swatch and Colour Pack. If your design does not fill the fabric area you have ordered, we will tile the design in block repeat to fill it.
